Very famous brand from Sake county, Niigata. The first sip makes me aware that this is dry, or even shallow, which means lack of richness and sake rice’s savory. To be honest, I am so disappointed with the taste as the liquor shop where I buy this one boasts the best selling sake there.
But, as time goes by, the taste of this sake is evidently changing. Not as much as other richer, sweeter, and sticker ones, this sake starts emitting very balanced savory inherent with sake. While keeping its sharpness, though not that strong, the combination of sweetness, sourness, and bitterness gets much better than the early sips. The retail price after tax is $15.00.
